Despite being the smallest and most compact of the Scotty electric downriggers, the 1099 features a 600mm (24”) boom and is spooled with 76m (250ft) of 68kg (150lb) stainless steel downrigger cable. Other features include: a Scotty adjustable Rodmaster II rod holder; line counter; Kevlar drive belt; Marinco electric plug; Power Grip line-release clip; and a tilting mounting bracket that enables the unit to be locked in the upright position, out of the way, when travelling. Full saltwater protection is built into the unit. Ideal for trolling lures for trout, or live baits at depth for gamefish. Distributed by RA Conaghan (NZ) Ltd in the North Island and RA Marston in the South Island.
