Daiwa has developed a Japanese-made 12-ply braid, and by applying Daiwa’s UVF (Ultra Volume Fibre) and +Si Evo Silicone, a high-density braid exhibiting excellent resistance and strength has been produced. The 12 Braid claims 72% improved abrasion resistance, 20% more strength, 18% more slippery surface, and 30% less line stretch when compared with other eight-braid premium PE lines.
Reducing the diameter and creating an ultra-smooth surface allows 12 Braid to produce less friction/resistance on the guides and spool rim, resulting in longer, smoother casting, less noise, minimal water disturbance and improved sensitivity. Colour-coded every 10 metres and marked every one and five metres, helps users of 12 Braid to attain maximum depth control.
