Rainbow Trout Record Claim
Kiwi angler Olive Armistead, aged nine, caught and released this beautiful 6.35kg (14lb) rainbow trout on September 4, 2018 while fishing in the Tekapo region.
If approved, the catch will earn Olive both the Female Small-Fry and Women’s 4kg (8lb) line-class world records, which currently stand at 4.53kg (10 pounds) and 1.11kg (2 pounds, 7 ounces), respectively.
