Penn Ocean Assassin Overhead Series

Ocean Assassin rods are built for serious inshore and offshore fishing with oceanic predators such as snapper, kingies, kahawai and tuna in mind. Developed in New Zealand, the Ocean Assassin overhead range consists of: two jig rods (5’ PE 3-5 and 5’1” PE 5-8), ideal for high-speed jigging and live-baiting; and two boat models: one is ideal for slow-jigging, stray-lining and general boat fishing duties (6’6” PE 1.5–3), while the other is a specialized casting/stray-line rod (7’ PE 1-2.5).

Ocean Assassins are built using inner and outer spiral-wrap layers of carbon fibre to sandwich middle layers of alternating longitudinal carbon and glass to deliver a strong, balanced and thin rod blanks. Componentry includes Fuji K Alconite guides, Fuji DPS reel seats, a machined aluminum lock nut, and contoured EVA grips.
