Penn Insurgent rods

The new Penn Insurgent rods use inner and outer spiral-wrap layers of carbon and glass to maintain a rounder blank cross section, along with a middle layer of unidirectional carbon and glass to provide a stronger, better balanced and thinner rod blank. These rods feature: durable aluminium-oxide Sea guides; lightweight graphite-nylon reel seats; and contoured EVA grips.

Two one-piece overhead models are available: a 1.98m medium-action rod rated at PE 1.5-3, and a 2.1m, medium-light-action model rated for 1-2.5 PE.

The spin models’ basic specifications are: 1.98m one-piece, rated 10-15kg with a medium-heavy action; a 2.1m two-piece 4-7kg medium-light-action soft-bait rod; a 2.13m (7’1”) one-piece, 6-10kg medium-action rod; and a 2.23m one-piece rod, rated 8-12kg, with a medium-heavy action.
