The Orvis Hydros SL range is strong and smooth with a super-fast line-retrieve rate. They have a narrow spool to eliminate line stacking while still providing increased backing capacity.
The range features a fully-sealed carbon drag mechanism with zero start-up inertia, and comes in three sizes: Hydros SLIII #5-7, Hydros SLIV #7-9 and Hydros SLV #9-11, so there’s a model to cover everything from casting the lightest dry fly to tangling with the toughest saltwater predators. Orvis Hydros SL reels have a limited lifetime warranty.
