New Rayglass

Rayglass Boats recently released the latest addition to their range: the new Rayglass Legend 2500..

The new Legend 2500 is a replacement for the Rayglass Legend 730, which has been a very popular 7-metre hardtop over the last decade.

In building the 2500, Rayglass have taken into account feedback from Legend 730 customers since the boat’s initial release in 1995. The result: a completely new design, featuring over 60 “significant” improvements in hull, deck, hardtop, cabin and hardware.

The Legend 2500 has a new, longer hull with turned down chine, sharper entry and recessed trim tabs, resulting in exceptional seakeeping and delivering an even drier and softer ride than the  730.

“Rayglass boats have always enjoyed a great reputation for good seakeeping but this new hull is something else again this is the best riding boat we have ever produced,” enthuses Tony Hembrow, managing director of Rayglass boats.

The deck, cabin and hardtop are also all completely new: moulded windscreens, unique to Rayglass, are shipped specially from Ireland to ensure a stronger, safer screen with fewer blind spots.

There’s extra headroom in the cabin, enlarged lockers, bigger sliding windows, a larger toilet cubicle, more lighting, larger fuel and water tanks, a more conveniently positioned battery switch, a folding galley table; and more.

The Rayglass Legend 2500 will make its public debut at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show on June 1.
