New Gamakatsu hooks
BCS Enterprises, NZ agents for Gamakatsu hooks, have released several new models in NZ. Their Big Bait Circle Hooks are 4X Strong series of sport circle hooks that feature a straight eye and non-curbed point so comply with IGFA (and NZ Sportfishing Council0 tournament and record regulations. Sizes range from small 1/0 that are popular here for tarakihi (but strong enough to handle a ‘puka by-catch), up to the 10/0 size which can handle big kingies and even Marlin as a livebait hook. The 10/0 Inline SE Octopus hook is Gamakatsu’s light-gauge trolling hook rated for fish up to Marlin and are also IGFA/NZSFC complient.
