New Black Magic split-ring pliers

Black Magic has updated its heavy-duty split-ring fishing pliers. The new version is available in gold, and apart from the new colour there are a number of great features. They still have their heavy tungsten-steel cutters (which slice through braid and mono with ease) and the stainless steel jaws (still the best tool for opening larger split-rings), but the handles now feature a rubberised strip, making them far more comfortable to use and less likely to slip in the hand. Yet due to their alloy handles, they retain their light weight (under 180g). Each set comes with a carrying pouch and stretch lanyard.
