Nationals Rule Changes

The following rule changes are proposed for the 2007 Nationals tournament. Subject to being finalised by the tournament committee, all NZBGFC clubs will be notified of the final rules for the tournament.

Day 1 start time – boats must not leave port or anchorage before 6 am and lines are not permitted to be in the water before 8 am.

Fly fishing points will be included in all sections as with other fish.

In the event of a draw or tie for fish, everyone who is equal in a winning or placed position will receive the appropriate award.

Results for the final day (Day 8) will be sent out as Day 8 results.  It will be up to Recorders to check that every fish has been recorded.  Then final results will come out 24 hours later.

Top team for each club – will be counted on all species – points to come from 11 species – and only the top fish for each species will count. 

There won’t be a Charter Boat Section in the 2007 Nationals.
