Name our boat competition is back!

FC Boats have once again partnered with Radio Hauraki and Boating & Outdoors for the third year of the Name Our Boat competition.

When Chris Harrison and Jamie McLennan entered Radio Hauraki’s Name Our Boat 2018 and 2019 competitions, little did they imagine they would each be towing home a top-of-the-line fishing boat. Entries are now being called for the third year of the competition. One lucky winner will be drawn and will take home a fishing boat and trailer with all the bells and whistles worth over $55,000.

Jamie McLennan, winner of the competition in February this year was surprised to win the draw as he knew the contest had received over 20,000 entries.

“It was all a good laugh when I entered the name Reel Wounder, so I was super stoked when I got the call. Since then, Reel Wounder has lived up to its name – it absolutely rules the waters when I am out snapper fishing. I’m looking forward to taking my three kids and mates out more during the summer.”

This year the winner will be treated to a fish catching machine – a FC 535cc worth over $55k including a Mercury 60ELPT outboard motor, Minn Kota electric motor, a Voyager trailer plus additional kit thanks to Humminbird, GME, Fusion, SeaDek, LegaSea and Narva Marine.

To get in the draw, listeners are required to submit their name suggestions for the boat at hauraki.co.nz. Further chances to enter are available at the Big Boys Toys event in Auckland or at any of the 24 Boating & Outdoors stores around New Zealand. There are also chances to win $50 Boating & Outdoor vouchers every day throughout the competition. Entries close 28 February 2020.
