Mercury Marine has just released, worldwide, its latest range of FourStroke outboards based on a revolutionary 4.6-litre platform. Available in a variety of options that includes 250 and 300hp models, the new Mercurys are lighter, slimmer, more fuel-efficient and with less vibration than ever. They feature ARO (Advanced Range Optimisation) a closed loop fuel control system; and Adaptive Speed Control which ensures the engine maintains its set RPM when going into a turn – great news for people towing water toys and skiers. The new V8s have a 115-amp alternator that ensures all those accessories are kept powered up.
