Mega snapper landed

Mokau fisherman Geoff Preston landed a 15.75kg snapper while fishing of the North Taranaki Village's beach last week.  That was a good-old fashioned 34.5lbs and shows there's some great snapper out there still. Mr Preston is a keen kite fisher and was using a fishing torpedo on this particular occasion. The fish was hooked about 1200m offshore.
