Max Hetherington

Max Hetherington Honorary Secretary and Financial Controller of the NZ Recreational Fishing Council died in his sleep at home in Newlands, Wellington on Tuesday the 18th.

Max was a good friend, a professional colleague, and a tireless worker for the recreational fishing and diving sectors over many, many years.

Peter Stevens' "old salts" story about Max in a recent issue of Seafood NZ is now sadly all that more important to his memory. Max has left two loving daughters, Mary and Patricia, and his sister Lynne and her family.

Max's daughters and extended family, the seafood industry and the wider New Zealand fishing and diving community have lost a kind and honest man.
