Unfortunately, not alot to report fishing wise this newsletter, as the sea and wind conditions have not been helpful.
I am writing this report earlier than normal as I am heading up to Opoitiki for the NZBFC A.G.M., and then to Kerikeri for a week's holiday. It is hoped, weather permitting, that by the time you recieve the newsletter, the concrete pouring of the third ramp will be completed, the barges removed and the area around the slipway cleaned out.
The committee have had site meetings to outline where we are going to next, which includes retention walls at the turning area of the slipway, a second right of way and preparation of turning area to the point of tarsealing.
The clubrooms have started to be tidied up, with rotten boards being replaced in preparation for painting.
Three more washdown taps are to be installed and connection of the high pressure trailer wash completed.
It is hoped in the near future to have three undercover filleting facilities operating.
