Lion Red Furuno 2001 Dates Announced

Followers of the Lion Red Furuno Fishing Tournament can start planning their fishing tactics for the 2001 tournament.

New Zealand's biggest fishing tournament, The Lion Red Furuno, will be held on March 22, 23, and 24 at Pah Farm Fishing Lodge on Kawau Island.

Entering its 16th year, the Lion Red Fununo Fishing Tournament continues its association with Lion Red. Since the Furuno Tournament website has proven to be a popular source of information, it is again available this year for competitors to sign-up their entry. Details on http://www.furunofish.co.nz.

Apart from registration, the website makes it easier for competitors to purchase 'Earlybird' tickets at the 'Earlybird' price of $75.00 (normal price $85), along with all the necessary information to plan for the ultimate 2001 Furuno fishing experience. All early entrants receive their own Lion Red Furuno hat.

Prizes for Earlybird entrants drawn before the tournament include a Lowrance X45 depth sounder and fish finder sponsored by Electronic Navigation, a Penn 330GTI reel and Powerstick rod sponsored by Thompson Walker, an evening barbecue on Auckland Harbour aboard MV Acheron sponsored by Lion Red and RFD Storm Coat sponsored by RFD New Zealand.
