Exciting times lie ahead for Whakatane’s Legacy Marine as the Legacy 70 sportsfisher draws closer to completion.
Colour has now gone on the upper bridge, and the first of the guide coats have been applied to the hull, with its aesthetically pleasing lines now clearly taking shape. The twin Mann 1900HP V12 Diesels have been fitted along with the bow/stern thrusters and running gear. Work is also well underway with the interior fit out, and installation has begun in the master state room. Fully faired and coved, the finish on the Legacy range will be second to none and to the highest of standards.
The first of the paint has been applied to the Legacy 70’s upper bridge.
Complete with a 9000Ltr fuel tank, freshwater maker, gyro stabiliser, dive compressor and being fully air conditioned, this will be a sport fishing motor yacht built for long range trips to explore waters seldom fished in comfort and ease.
Set up as a division of Extreme Boats in Whakatane, Legacy Marine have drawings for 50, 60, and 70 ft Sport Fishing motor yachts, along with a 46 foot sedan cruiser. There are also some other larger custom and commercial builds underway.
The Legacy 70 is scheduled to be on the water later this year, setting a new standard in aluminium motor yachts.
