Made in New Zealand by Kilwell Rodcraft, the Gladiator IGFA swordfish rod is constructed with a proven NZ E-Glass blank designed for extreme saltwater fishing. Super-hard silicon-carbide guides and a detachable aluminium bent-butt offer versatility and efficient leverage when fighting huge fish. The blank is lighter in the tip than conventional rods in this class, so perfect for braid use and also giving better bite detection on daytime swords. However, it is also effective for trolling for marlin or big tuna. Available in 24-37kg and 37-60kg line weights, with either AFTCO SHD wind-on roller tip or a silicon-carbide tip.
