Key Shimano NZ appointments

Shimano NZ have made two key appointments in recent weeks.

Experienced reel technician, Kadin Williams, has re-joined the Shimano team after returning from his OE and servicing reels for Northland tackle stores, operating out of the Far North.

Kadin cut his teeth at Shimano, where he originally trained under Simon Baker and spent four years in the service department before heading overseas.

Now based out of Waipu Cove, Kadin as a senior technician will continue to look after the Northland region’s Shimano servicing while providing specialised training to Shimano NZ staffing and assisting the Auckland office over the summer busy periods to ensure quick repair turn arounds.

On the sales side of the business, Shimano NZ appointed experienced tackle trade manager Pat Langevad as its sales manager, responsible for the three North Island and one South Island representatives.

He will work closely with head of sales Greg McKinney as well as oversee the service department.

Pat is well known in the trade, having recently resigned as the manager of the Botany Hunting and Fishing store, a position he held for six years. Prior to that he had stints at Brittain Wynyard, Furleys and NZ Fishing News, totalling over 30 years in the trade.

A keen angler, Pat lives at Beachlands and is often out in the Hauraki Gulf with his family aboard their 11-metre Genesis Ahi.
