JOAF goes interactive

‘Interaction’ is the theme for the Journey of a Fisherman stand at this year’s Hutchwilco NZ Boat Show.

Tony and Bea have just had a new centre console commissioned, to be used for filming their Journey of a Fisherman material, and this will take centre stage in their larger stand space (Stand #186).

The boat is a Honda-powered Extreme 605 Centre Console, fitted with Garmin electronics and Shimano tackle, all on a Voyager trailer.

A rigging station is incorporated into the stand, from which Tony is happy to show patrons how he ties various rigs and lures. Tony’s own brand of stick-baits, Zeets, will be on display and for sale.

“If you have a query about rigging, be it soft-baits through to game lures or topwater, stop in and I can show you what works for us”, Tony says.

Tony and Bea, in conjunction with travel&co, host numerous overseas fishing trips as part of their Offshore Adventures operation. Over the New Zealand winter they, along with son Sami, travel the globe guiding guests onto monster bluefin tuna, salmon, halibut, giant trevally, sailfish and various other billfish species anywhere from Canada through to Central America.

They have captured some amazing footage and this will be shown on four big screens.

“Come and talk to us about your own offshore adventure.”
