OCEAN OASIS with National Geographic’s Fish of the Day is a unique collaboration between National Geographic’s Fish of the Day hosted by Clarke Gayford and presented by Mike Bhana; Kelly Tarltons’ Sealife aquarium; environmental groups Sustainable Coastlines and Legasea and leading Auckland boat dealer, Orakei Marine.
Staged on the Orakei Marine stand in Hall 6, the big pavilion to the right when you enter from Greenlane Rd, OCEAN OASIS with National Geographic’s Fish of the Day will feature hourly presentations on Swimming with the Sharks by world famous documentary film maker, Mike Bhana (showing what it is like to swim with sharks and capture their most amazing moments on camera with drone flying demonstrations) and Our Ocean Oasis by Fish of the Day presenter Clarke Gayford.
There will also be activities focusing on recent shark studies from the Hauraki Gulf and Coromandel Peninsula, as well as an underlying message to children on the importance of sustainability for our seas and the need to care for fish stocks and keep our coastline clean.
And there’s something for the kids, too: a special Colouring Competition run from the delightful Kelly Tarlton’s colouring station, giving children the chance to win a Kelly Tarlton’s Family Annual Pass (for two adults and two children) and Crayola spot prizes.

The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane, Auckland 18-21 May, 2017 Open 10am to 6pm daily, with a late night until 9pm on Friday. Admission: $18 on-line (until May 10, 2017) or $20 at the gate Children 16 and under: Free.
