First Tag & Release for Houhora

The first tag & releases for the club came on the 31^st January.  ‘Eclipse’ skippered by Ash Mitchell found the good water and the marlin to give his daughter Karen and partner Paul Cole 2nd & 1st tagged for the club respectively. A week later (3rd February) Ash was on a roll and Paul tagged & released 2 more striped marlinand Karen landed a good striped marlin weighing111.2kg

 1^st February, had local charter boat ‘Intrepid’, skippered by Roy Garea back on the water.  Junior member Morgan Lilly caught her first marlin.  Unfortunately the fish was tail wrapped and went to the bottom.  After a lot of hard work she got it back to the boat and it weighed in at 82.6 kg.
