Federation AGM

The 27th Annual General Meeting of the NZ Federation of Freshwater Anglers will be held in Christchurch, on March 10th, 2001. The meeting will be extended to Sunday the 11th, and include guest speakers. The venue is currently being arranged and will be notified as soon as it has been finalised. It will include conference, accommodation and restaurant facilities.

All executive positions are eligible for nomination. This includes the President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Research Officer; and five other members from each of the North and South Islands. All financial club members are eligible to attend, submit remits, vote, or to be represented by proxy.

What we need you to do:

  • Consider and submit any nominations for the executive officers that you wish to make.
  • Consider and submit any remits that you or your club want the AGM to address.
  • Notify us if you are able to attend the AGM.
  • Notify us of any proxies acting for you at the AGM

To assist us with this process, we are including nomination, proxy, remit and attendance forms with this newsletter. Please complete them and return them to the Federation Secretary no later than Friday, 23rd February, 2001. This is necessary to get a formal notice of meeting out prior to the AGM, as required in our constitution. The address can be found by clicking here.

Remember that the AGM isn't a stuffy formal meeting, it is an invitation to come along and meet fellow anglers concerned about the freshwater fishery, to have the Federation listen to and address your concerns, to have your say on these matters and who you want to represent you, and to listen to guest speakers. We really hope to see you there!
