Edge Hollow Core Braid

Thanks to the change in IGFA regulations allowing anglers to use a backing line heavier than the IGFA-rated top-shot, Edge Hollow Core Braid is perfect as a high-quality PE backing. Splicing the mono top-shot inside the hollow core creates a strong connection for targeting popular big game species.

Edge Hollow Core Braid is a high quality 100% PE braid with a 16-carrier weave. It has virtually no stretch and a very thin diameter. Colour is a highvis yellow; spools come in 50, 80, 100 and 130lb (24, 37, 45 and 60kg) and are 1000m in length. The Edge Five Piece Hollow Core Splicing Kit is also an essential addition, and includes three pipe needles, a latch needle and a loop needle, to allow threading top-shots into the Edge Hollow Core.
