Daiwa Seagate Hyper reels

Daiwa’s SH 6000 Seagate Hyper reels appear to be a force to be reckoned with. To eliminate body flex, the frame and side plate are constructed of rigid aluminum alloys.

This supports the Digigear drive system – perfectly meshed to eliminate wear and tear and provide up to 15% more cranking power – which in turn is supported by seven of Daiwa’s corrosion-resistant ball-bearings.

The powerful drag gear system is supported by Daiwa’s UTD waterproof drag system, which can deliver up to 15kg of drag pressure. Other features include: Airbail; Twistbuster II; a titanium nitride line roller; rotor brake; dual stopper infinite anti-reverse; and a machined aluminum handle. Gearing is 4.7:1 and spool capacity is 400m of PE 5 (about 24kg) braid line.

Distributed by Brittain Wynyard, Auckland, and available through Daiwa stockists nationwide.
