Using HVF (High Volume Fibre) graphite combined with the blank actions based on flagship rods such as Steez and Black Label, Daiwa has created the Generation Black range of rods. Finished with Fuji’s lightweight Alconite guides to keep the blanks’ action crisp, these guides also provide superior casting, unlimited line flow and line protection. Other features include Daiwa’s custom-made reel seats, complemented by tough, minimalist EVA grips that reduce the weight dramatically. Finished in an all-matt black with minimalist styling, these rods are available in three models: Supercasta – a two-piece 2.30m rod rated for 5-10kg line; Slugger – another two-piece rod, 2.44m long and rated for 6-10kg line; and the Macka, which is one piece, 2.13m, and rated for 4-6kg line.
Distributed by Brittain Wynyard, Auckland, and available through Daiwa stockists nationwide.
