Able totest, charge and maintain batteries automatically, the MXS 5.0 Test & Charge is a complete battery care system, ensuring the boat’s batteries are always ready to go and optimising their life and performance.

A fully-automatic, professional-grade, 8 step, 5 amp battery charger, the CTEK MXS 5.0 Test & Charge tests the voltage and starting power of the batteries while also measuring the performance of the alternator.

Results of these three tests are then displayed using CTEK’s simple “traffic light” LED system: Green is a good result, amber is fair and red is obviously bad.

MXS 5.0 Test & Charge can also extend the life of 12V lead acid batteries from 1.2Ah up to 110Ah. Using CTEK’spatented automatic desulphation step and a special reconditioning function it is able to bring back to life deeply discharged and stratified batteries (from as low as 2v).

MXS 5.0 Test & Chargealso features patented Float/Pulse technology for long–

term maintenance, a Snowflake modefor AGM batteries (delivering a slightly higher 14.7V charge to ensure the battery reaches its full capacity in colder weather) and Multimode (a state-of-the-art technology that allows RECOND and AGM functions to be used individually or simultaneously on programs 0.8A and 5.0A).

The MXS 5.0 Test & Charge is non-sparking, splash resistant and dust proof to IP65. It is also short-circuit proof and reverse-polarity protected, comes with a 5 year warranty and is available nationwide from Lusty and Blundell’s network of leading marine dealers.
