Anne sets snapper world record

Anne Sharples beat the woman’s 2kg line class world record for snapper, the IGFA has confirmed.

Anne was fishing in the Firth of Thames on December 12, 2018, when the big fish hit. After a battle of over an hour it was finally boated and officially weighed at 10.3kg, beating the previous record (caught by Linda McKenzie at Rangiputa, Northland, in 2015) by over a kilo.

Congratulations Anne!
