At the AGM in July, new crews were elected to run the Manukau Crusing Club Inc.
The Support Crew, which attends to the overall running of the Club and its future well being remains the same as last year except that Vice Commodore Trevor Glover did not seek re-election and Bob McBride was elected to this position.
A whole new Boating Crew was elected with Angela Holloway and Ken Thomson controlling the Boating and Tim Timbrell and Nicky Story in charge of the Fishing Section .
This season , our first with the NZBGFC, sees the appointment of John McLachlan and Steve Preece to the positions of Represenitives to the Big Game Fishing Council of New Zealand. Both of these guys are keen fishermen and we wish them well in the busy time they will have ahead of them.
The Entertainment Section is now run by Mick Holloway with the assistance of Ross Anderson Jnr. and Michelle Glover and Cynthia Williams retains her position as Welfare Officer
The Club Crew, responsible for the day to day running of the Club rooms and the co ordination of member services, is now under the control of Trevor Glover as Club Captain and he is assisted by Mrs Ida Yates as Lieutenant and John Rudd as Chief Engineer.
Kevin Brady, recently appointed as Club Manager, will provide back up services to the crews to ensure that all events are well advertised and that the Club rooms are used for the maximum enjoyment of all of the members.
