Presenting this talk will be Mark Armistead form Extreme Sportfishing adventures, Mark was instrumental in bringing in some world class anglers to our shores who have been able to really teach us more about these lures and how to best work them for our local kingfish. Watching a big kingfish or pack of kings come up and smash a stick bait or popper is absolutely spectacular, the strikes can leave you in awe and speechless at times. Mark has now been employing this technique for 3 seasons and has also travelled overseas to learn more about the techniques from expert Giant Trevally guides, this presentation will give you some insights into what he has learnt and will no doubt increase your learning curve when it comes to casting top water lures for kings.
Included in the talk will be in depth details about the lures, how to rig them and why, when is the best time to use them and also what gear works best and why. There will be some pretty cool footage on show of big fish coming in on the lures and plenty of top quality photos to hopefully get you inspired to get out there and give it a try.
Expect to see plenty of gear on show form basic kits right up to some of the high end equipment being used by the top anglers around the world..
As a bonus for the Tauranga talk Mark will cover some jigging tips and tricks that will be of use to you come the following weekend at the big Top Catch jigging/casting tournament.
