Spearfishing Tips & Tricks

It’s fair to say that spearfishing has experienced a bit of a renaissance over the past decade. There are now more spearos in New Zealand waters than ever before, and this is thanks in part to publications such as NZ Fishing News educating readers about the sport and encouraging them to experience first-hand the joys of the underwater world.

The exposure of spearfishing on numerous fishing shows over the past decade has certainly helped as well, although I’m sure there are times that our show, South Seas Spearo, has had the opposite effect, dissuading viewers from taking the plunge given the dangerous situations our ragtag crew often find themselves in.
