Finding Fish on Holiday in NZ

You’ve packed the car, trailer, boat, tent, and/or caravan, all to the gunwales with everything, including the kitchen sink, and you’re off to get away from it all. While you’re exploring somewhere away from home, casting a line and catching a fish or two to add to your campsite prowess and dinner larder is on your mind. With all that other holiday equipment aboard and quality, relaxing time with the family on everyone’s agenda, keeping a tight rein on both fishing gear and time spent fishing is important… but not as important as knowing where to go fishing when you arrive!

Balance

It seems simple enough – sleep-ins, lazy lunches, great evening get-togethers with friends and family away from the chaos and chores of everyday life back home. Spending time with the family is often the main aim of going on holiday, and we need to remember that not everyone is as fanatical about fishing as we can be, so balancing the limited time on holiday between activities is necessary. Balance is key to a good holiday, with fishing thrown in for good measure.
