Cubing for Yellowfin and Other Species

For me, cubing goes against so much of what I usually try to achieve. It seems plain wrong that fish can prefer a chunk of food rather than something alive and wriggling, or a whole oily dead bait, or perhaps a long, slim, artificial offering that undulates when moved. Yet cubes will often attract bites when nothing else seems to be working.

I was lucky to be taught by the best: legendary charter skipper Rick Pollock. Originally from Los Angeles, United States, Rick went on to spend several intense seasons in Baja, California, aboard various sportfishing charter boats chasing various species that included (fortunately for us) yellowfin tuna.
