Does anyone know of a place around Aucks that sells pre-made upholstered squabs?

I need to get a couple for the seating spaces in the back of the boat.

Cheers

There is plenty of good squab material here at work, if you know someone who can make some canvas covers.... Bobs your Uncle. Failing that you could always try the warehouse, brunscoes or fish city.....

I've been into heaps of places and they sell the squabs along with the seats but not separately.

Can you sew Si??? The squab material here came in a packing crate and is about 60 x 70cm, by 35mm thick. Very easy to cut down and make into squabs. Ideally you would make a cover for it..... a very cheap but effective way of doing it..... then again I was brought up to make the most of what you have around. Have you tried looking up canvas covering..etc. Shouldn't be too hard to locate a few squabs???

Si, do you you really need squabs for the back seats? Who's going to sit on them, not you I'll bet. They will get soaked back there, not to mention the bait and berley they will get covered in. Then when someone sits on them they will get a soggy bum at best. If not dried out they will stink and rot. KISS - keep it simple Si.

Cheers Bushie, I know where they are... hadn't thought of them.

Nah Tomsta, I can't sew and don't want to mess about trying.

Of course I'm not going to be sitting on them, but I feel sorry for anyone who's going to have to sit at the back, so I'll be nice.

The squabs I'm after are the vinyl covered jobbies. Stuck to the boat with velcro, rip the buggers off, hose 'em down and put them out to dry. As you say Ohsif - KISS!

Yellow...plasticy...... of course he's make the boat look gimpy as well.

Perhaps it should have a name change to Si's gimpy boat.

I need some too. I could do to replace the bunk squabs as well.

North Shore Canvas sounds a bit, well, north shore for me. Anyone know of anywhere closer or someone handy with a sail-cloth needle?

Try Cairnwood in Nelson Street in Pukekohe - They have most of the gear you'll need Grounded.

I'm expecting the call today or tomorrow... too bad I won't be here to get her this weekend.

Oh... that is so sweet.... Love at first sight Si???? You be gentle and treat her right and she'll purr like a kitten for a long time..... Not a good thing to be standing her up on yer first date though... Good thing's take time so a couple of days will just add to the antisipation...... I'm sure you'll be feeling crook after the weekend up in the Winterless North and need a couple of days off work...
