Just recieved an email that might be of interest to some of you:

"I got tipped off just before lunch time today (Ed. Sunday) that a swordfish had been
washed up on Whatipu (Ed. Westcoast, Auckland) beach and was assured that it was in tact and fresh as.
A couple of hours later I got my mate John and his kids rustled up and we
shot up there walking up the beach there it was but someone had been beaten
us to most off it but it was fresh as it looks like it has got lost and
confused off were it was ,caught in the ruff bar and surf exhausted and
washed ashore and died last night I reckon it was about 100-130kg I got the
bill of it and some pics!..
thought you jokers might like to know....
