Yeah, I did my F14, was bugger all from memory, well under $300 (but I got a deal from a sign writer I deal with sometimes through my business). It's holding up REAL well with sinkers banged against the sides even, rope hauled over it, still glossy - think it was calandered (or perhaps cast) vinyl?? It's supposed to be good for 9 years or something?... Far more practical than paint IMO on an ali boat.

We are thinking about doing Fissure's boat when it arrives in 'water camo' or something similar, and I may redo mine with 'trout spots' I'm a graphic designer so easy to get the graphics sorted.

They applied it, but easy to do yourself (especially if you have worked with vinyl before) if you have a good steady hand and good preparation work - (I rubbed with Isopropol alcohol really thoroughly) prior. Jonocoogee knows his stuff, he was helpful when I initially thought about getting it done - there's a BIG market in NZ IMO for vinyl wraps... Shhhhhhh

Guys I'm looking to wrap a senator 580RH which is getting built is it worth painting hand rails bow rail and rocket lurncher rod holders so Thay don't need to be warped to me it seems like it will be a big and fiddile job to wrap the rails etc? Any ones thoughts

Just thought Id jump in and ask for some advice on where I i can go for wrapping my boat. I wish to redo the side and graphics on the boat. The existing graphics have stained the gelcoat to the point of no return so look for a complete blackwrap and maybe a stonegaurd at the front for the anchor. I approached one place but was quoted $900 + cost for travel and labour. This seems excessive for a small 4.50m boat with a fairly shallow waterline - compared to the prices ive heard other people mentioning. Any advice really appreciated :)

Hey fellas I got a mate who has just started up business doing vinyl finish on cars boats etc. he's here in Auckland. He did his own truck & I was absolutely amazed at the finish & difference it made. PM me if you want his details.
