Found a lifebuoy in the Tamaki Straits on Sunday 12/3/23.  Is a 2.5Kg as new, sold by Marine Deals for $145, and I would like to return it to its owner.

For the humorists among you, I didn't steal it from a drowning child.

You could ask why I didn't just leave it there, fair question.  I often pick up plastic and other rubbish, so just keeping it clean.

After waiting for the owner to come forward, I sold the lifebuoy on Trademe.  The measly proceeds of $26.45 were donated to Coastguard.
