Hi all, been a bit slack on reporting lately. Plenty of trips but some very average results to the norm. Have had the odd Snap to twenty pounds but few and far between till today. Teamed up with Aaron at Day Break, reasonable waves on the Bar, but over comfortably. Big offshore blowing so we tucked in to one of my close in spots off cliffs. Had to catch bait urgently if we were going to get big Snaps as we only had a few pillies. Took half an hour before we boated two big Kahawai and a Trevally. We were away! Straylines out and the waiting game begins. Remember if you can fresh bait out there, your halfway there to getting good Snaps. The rest presentation and type of rig. Whole fillets claimed these two today.  I'm holding them out a bit in pic! but two nice 20 lb Da's. Both kept today to give away to other Mokau families for functions. Happy Fish'n.Beer
