Cheers Al. Didnt feel like winter though bro. Were in singlets til we headed in.

Hey Ryan. Teras are there, we just didn't get on them. And given we were catching a few fish I wasnt that keen on moving around to much. Were out the front in 25m.

They were going to do the ramp this time last year and I'm unsure why it didnt go ahead. The plan was to widen it and build a floating pontoon. I suppose it's still the same.

The problem is the sand build up. The channel to the ramp is always changing and bit of a challenge at times.

Waited for the Labour Weekend rush to settle before going in the water at 4 yesterday arvo.

Initially had to contend with a sloppy sea, which settled later in the evening.

We've been hammered by sharks the last two trips. Bronzeys a couple of weeks ago and a big blue yesterday. Pain in the butt losing both gear and terakihi.

Anyway as the light faded yesterday we got into a few nice snaps.

Used the new ramp for the first - jury is still out on that. But the upgraded lighting system to clean the boat and in the fish cleaning area at home were a hit.

any pics of the new ramp. I asked about dredging the channel and bar the other day when the game club was asking questions to be answered and they said talk to the harbour master.

Nice to see. Conditions not so flash today! We came through on Friday for a few days with plans to fish, and got out yesterday for a brief run inside Slipper. Hopefully some improvement before the weekend.

popped out Saturday after the big storms, bar was flat but mates motor was skipping a beat so our plans to go wide changed. Went 1km from bar anchored up. 16 snapper 2 Trevally (string pullers) 4 kawhai, a lot of fish released. 2 rat Kingi’s and 1 estimated 15kg thumper speed jigged in 20m of water. epic battle to lose boat side. Bugger.
Great day out in calm conditions and a good feed for family and friends. Note ramp has deep holes in sand no doubt from power retrieval’s so can only launch one big boat at a time at the mo.

Been a while between posts- I guess that sums the year up!
Never really expect to much this time of the year, and after missing out the last couple of times at the south end, we stumbled across a spot a bit further north. 2 boats - and 2 full bins. Some great teras up to 47cm - wow, as well as trevs a few snaps and kahawai. Beauty.
