In Greece, the price is some 6.500 EURO which is nearly 11.000 NZ$.
Including the center console and (24%) VAT.

54cm Snapper....

Plus 3 other pannies. This blighter stripped the ring gear in my old cheapy...
Guess I'll be down to Burnsco for a new reel :)

You get what you pay for with reels. Buy a midrange Shimano or similar and it will last years. I'd steer clear of the Daiwa mag seal reels if you do your own servicing.

Agree. My other (main) reel is a Shimano Sedona 4000 - great reel.
I'm replacing this one with a Shimano Sienna 4000. Seems reasonably priced at $69.99.

That might be mine. I fell of the back of a launch while fighting a kahawai, and dropped the rod. Was it still attached to a very feisty kahawai?

If that reel you pulled up is a Shimano, just give it a spray with some CRC. It'll work fine.
