Hi guys if I could have some advice

Looking at buying the new shimano twin power 5000xd reel for top water fishing mainly to cast stick baits

Whats the pros and cons for this reel?
And any good rod recommendations to pair this reel up with

What’s drawn you towards the 5000xd
You are limiting yourself a bit.
Comes down to the line weight, size stickbaits you intend to fish and in which terrain.

The 8000 swc hg would be a much sounder choice.
Both line capacity. Stopping power and being purpose built for top water fishing.

Rod choices are endless depending on your budget.

The OCEA S82MH would be a match for 8000 size reel

Or if you are set on the 5000 the
OCEA S74ML would be a match

The choices are many these just couple of examples.
