I asked Santa for a Saragosa 10000 to pair with my 200- 300g CD fast jig rod.
I have a feeling that she may have picked up the new 14000.
Do you think the 6.2:1 gear ratio is too high for jigging?

My 2c, yeah, bit fast. Over 130cm/turn will make it hard (but not impossible) to get a good rhythm going. Faster reels easier to match with a longer rod which will move the jig further, but the CD is very much on the shorter end of the range.

Damm my thoughts as well. I’ll think I’ll see if I can swap it after Christmas quietly so Santa doesn’t find out.
Thanks for the reply.
