Hey Guys, just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Ruku Fins? I hear a lot of mixed messages about them. People I've spoken to in person love them, I met quite a few spearos who's have lasted 7 to 10 years and are still going. But I've noticed a lot of people say they're a waste of money on Facebook spearos pages. There don't seem to be any decent or comprehensive reviews on these what so ever, so what's the deal, are they any good? Need some cokd hard facts.

Wish I could help, I never tried Rukus or any fibreglass composite. I went straight to some "cheapo" carbon composites and it's said performance wise there's not much of a noticeable difference. You'll scratch up both and if you're clumsy they'll snap both just as easy. Carbon only really makes sense if you have something you need consistently rigid/flexing when the material is exposed to extreme differences in temperature (think planes, high performance cars, etc)
There's however a noticeable difference between plastics and composites, the later feeling a bit more responsive and "springy" (? is that a word?). Take one of your friends blades for a spin before you fork out

It's been a while since I've posted in here.

I use (and abuse) an old set of DiveRs but have many spearo mates who use Rukus.  Some of whom are pretty deep divers (45m+ when doing freediving focused training and spearing to 30m).  They are all happy with their Rukus both performance wise and from a support perspective.

If I lost my DiveRs I would consider Rukus.

Ocean Hunter sell Rukus. From a general support perspective I have never had any issues with OH.  e.g. a suit I bought had a couple of issues with glueing about a year after I purchased it and they simply swapped for a new long johns when I was expecting a repair at best. (this was at least 4 years ago and the suit is still going strong now)
