I have a friend thats looking at buying a Profish 17...I think its a Fryan but not sure. Anyone got any thoughts on it pros or cons please

Barrie...I used a Pro 17 for a weekend and hated it. I found it hard riding and tended to bow-steer. Before making a purchase I would make sure I gave it a good sea trial in some rough water.

That model didn't last long and there's probably a good reason why.

Barrie.

As you know we had a Fryan 540, the model after the 17 Pro. Our 540 used to bow steer, so I suspect that the 17 Pro will as well. I agree with Bender, they didn't make the model very long and the second hand price is usually a good indication of a boats reputation.

Having said that, if you know what a boats vices are and respect them everything should be fine.

Would I buy one .... No.
