A question for the braid guru's. Does any one know if it is possible to join a solid braid to hollow braid? |

yes, very easy. this is what i do, especially helpful for those that have a full spool of solid braid and want to do a top shot without having to use a specialised knot like a PR or FG knot. These top shots of hollow braid to solid braid are as close to 100% line strength as possible where the use of knots will not not get even close to that( maybe 60-70%) If your braid line breaks for any reason, just splice in a short section of hollow and back in business at 100%, big save on having to replace line as you would have to do with mono( unless you like big knots in middle of your line) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi-mj7slaF8" rel="nofollow - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi-mj7slaF8 -------------  www.kavemantackle.co.nz
