Anyone had a lash with these Savebarn lures? I was driving past today and dropped in, mainly to check out the Maxel reels they have but saw these were 50% off and grabbed a couple. I figure when the bites hot they should go ok. (and no, I'm in no way affiliated with savebarn if anyones a bit suss, just wondering if anyones used these)

so did they work alright?

edit: man their website doesnt even have the same pricing as their trademe account which has the same things at 50% off.

Ha, haven't even had a chance to cast one yet. My dog managed to give one a good chew though (unrigged). Will post up a report once I get round to it.

If I'm fishing off the rocks or the bite's so hot they're hitting anything then I'd prefer not to risk an expensive lure.

Just make sure they are proper eyes and not just screw in curtain eyes as will most likely fail...See like that before.......Phill

Finally got a chance to give these a cast last weekend, gotta say I was pretty happy with the way they swam, was pretty easy to swim them as well. They seemed to have pretty good action. I didn't catch anything on them tho, but the carpenters weren't catching anything either.
Not exactly sure what your meaning bout the curtain eyes Phill, but these have got wire running their length.
