Jim, I second jonocoogee comment, John at http://www.tas-tackle.co.nz/" rel="nofollow - http://www.tas-tackle.co.nz/ is your best bet, best price in NZ, excellent friendly service.
I just got a OSL08D from John, get yourself one, I guarantee you wont be sorry, if you like JM reels you will love the newest Maxels.

The Save Barn at Otahuhu have a maxel reel, so you can go for a fondle. http://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/fishing/salt-water/boat-reels/auction-700615272.htm

you can have a look at them at the save barn but when I inquired they only had the single drag model (7kg at strike/8.5kg at full). Have a nosey at save barn then buy a dual drag model (12kg at strike/16kg at full) from John at http://www.tas-tackle.co.nz/" rel="nofollow - http://www.tas-tackle.co.nz/ and save up to $100. I did see a website that claimed to get 60lb of drag from a OSL08D and still retained freespool, I cant imagine why you would ever need that much drag tho. A word to the wise, there are retailers selling the earlier models which are less refined than the latest, the earlier model has 3 round holes across the front and rear bars while the latest models have 2 diamond shaped cutouts.
