Accurate BX500XN Slammer hands down. Ive got the 400 on a 120g rod and reckon its the nicest reel I've ever jigged with. Beats the PE5 hands down which is now on the loaner rod !

Have a talk to Kane from DeCoro mate, he's a sponsor on here and knows jigging reels better than anyone I've spoken to before and I'm sure he would do you a good deal.

Whatever you do get advice from lots of people first and buy the best you can afford first up. I started with a $600 jig set which was upgraded after the fist trip coz it really wasn't fit for the purpose. Be careful though, jigging is far more addictive than live baiting and before you know it you'll be having to hide your purchases !

x2 on the accurate. I use my bx400xn on my slow jig rod (with top shot of lighter braid), my 100g rod and my 280g rod. Very versatile

There is something to consider. Retrieve rates. Some people suit fast some slow. Ratios dont mean much either, you need to see how much line is retrieved per turn. The new accurates look nice for sure and alot of development has gone into the kiwi market. There are alot of choices though and i reckon you go to a few tackle stores with your rod and see what feels right for you.

If you think the 4:1 is too slow n the 6:1 is too fast, why don't you ask kane for 5:1 ratio for your accurate.
