I've just uploaded the latest Shimano Fishing NZ video - this time it's Top Water!

Shimano Fishing New Zealand ventures out on to the Hauraki Gulf with Sandspit Fishing Charters armed with all the latest topwater stick baiting gear from Shimano. Watch as hordes of fired up yellowtail kingfish smash the teams lures and also learn all the techniques to get the most from your Shimano stick bait gear.

What Braid where you running Kezza? It appeared to cast well, without much noise ( hence resistance)

Hey Jas -

Sufix 832 on both reels....this stuff is the ducks dangles for casting and jigging where metered braid isn't required...really nice stuff!

Great video, just one thing y do you cast with your finger on the braid wouldn't this cut or hurt your finger more then holding the mono?

Cheers Stinkbait - you get used to casting off the braid....some wear gloves....but it comes down to practice and developing a casting style that suit the individual angler. Thumbs Up

The braid can't cut you, the only way this will happen is if line comes off the spool. So crank the drag down and cast away...

Nice vid team!

SWB's are they manual trip only? No need to turn and lock the rotor?

Cheers Sam....Thumbs Up....great compliment coming from someone of your calibre!

The 4000 and 5000 are "auto-trip" and the rest of the range are "manual"
