Mars has claimed the gurnard pin with a fine Wellington Harbour fish weighing 775gms (1lb 11.5oz). He seems to think this will spur some of our Auckland compatriots into gear .. Smudge???? He also holds the tuna record He says: "Thought it was time to give these self proclaiming

Thanks guys. Of course I wouldn't expect this to last too long, as the intention was to spur on a bit of action on this popular species. Lethal, Carrot King ain't too bad, but I think I'll stick to my local alias:'The Munter Grunter Hunter'. Bushpig, I knew that would bring a reaction. Lesson: Don't let your Mrs shop for your fishing kit. Wefaknis, Smudge, and Grounded, that was definitely the idea... Stormy, your not wrong, plenty of snapper at the mo (not by me) and a 25kg king the other day. And thats not mentioning the carrots!.... Bender, thanks for accepting the claim. Also, just to set things straight; I don't have the Tuna pin, that would belong to good mate Silent, whom now bases himself out of Whangaroa. I would be disappointed if someone can't better this over the weekend, maybe even me! |
